Reclaim SOL rent: the complete guide

Rent on Solana locks SOL in every account you open. Here is what rent is, why it is refundable and how to reclaim it in a few seconds.

What is rent on Solana?

Solana charges a deposit, called rent, to keep accounts stored on chain. Accounts that hold enough SOL to be rent-exempt never pay anything over time, and that deposit is fully refundable when the account is closed.

Where is my rent locked?

Mostly in token accounts: one for every token you ever bought, received or airdropped. Each one holds about 0.002 SOL. Junk NFTs lock even more, because they also have metadata and edition accounts.

How to reclaim it

Scan your wallet on Claim Sol (no connection needed), review the empty accounts and choose what to do with leftover dust tokens: sell them for SOL or burn them. Then claim everything with one approval.

Fees

Claim Sol keeps a percentage of the SOL recovered, shown before you sign. If nothing is recovered you pay nothing.

๐Ÿงน How much SOL is stuck in your wallet?

Free check, no connection needed.

FAQ

Is rent the same as a transaction fee?

No. Transaction fees are spent. Rent is a deposit, and you get it back when the account is closed.

Can I reclaim rent from many wallets?

Yes. The multi-wallet page checks up to 10 addresses at once and shows the total.
